CHINA-INTERNAL: ANTI-CORRUPTION
The Central Discipline Inspection Commission (CDIC) in a statement disclosed that Sun Hongzhi, Vice Minister of the State Administration for Industry & Commerce, and Liao Yongyuan, former General Manager with China National Petroleum Corporation, have been expelled from the CCP following investigations for graft. It accused the two of accepting a huge amount of bribes, seeking profits for others and committing adultery. (Comment: Both are reputed proteges of Zhou Yongkang, former PBSC Member who was recently sentenced to life imprisonment.)
