China's Central Television (CCTV) reported on February 26, 2016, that 64-year old General Liu Yuan, former Political Commissar of the People’s Liberation Army’s General Logistics Department, who stepped down a year prior to his official retirement, had been sworn in as a Vice Chairman of the National People's Congress and Vice Chairman of its Economic and Finance Committee.
