Public opinion poll results released by the Pew Research Centre on May 5, 2016, showed little change in the US in concerns over China and Russia. Only about a quarter of Americans (23%) viewed China as an “adversary” of the United States, while an identical percentage (23%) said the same about Russia. Pluralities describe both countries as serious problems but not adversaries (44% each). These opinions have changed little in recent years.
