CHINA-INDIA: TERRORISM

China on December 30, 2016, retained its 'hold' on India's request to the UN Sanctions Committee against internationally recognised terrorists residing in Pakistan. In doing so it became the only one of 15 members of the UNSC Sanctions Committee to exercise its veto.
(Comment: China's action comes despite its claimed efforts to join the international community in their fight to combat terrorism. It also exhibits continued insensitivity to India's interests.)
