CHINA-INTERNAL: ECONOMY: THE WEALTH GAP

A recent Chinese Academy of Science report says that though the wealth gap between different regions is narrowing, inequality between different income groups is growing. Xi Jinping has pledged to wipe out poverty, or annual incomes less than Yuan 2300, by 2020. Xi Jinping has also made himself a delegate to the 19th Party Congress from Guizhou where much of the population lives below the poverty line.
