CHINA-HONGKONG: PROTESTS OR 'UMBRELLA REVOLUTION

 The protest demonstrations in Hongkong, with students and civil servants at the centre, dissipated by October 6, 2014 with most protesters returning to classes and work. Beijing, concerned at the contniuing protests and their spilling over in to the National Day holiday, had warned the Hongkong Administration to take action to disperse the protesters. China's leadership's stance had also perceptibly hardened.
