On October 7, 2014, Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met Ms Li Xiaolin, the youngest daughter of former President Li Xiannian and childhood friend of Chinese President Xi Jinping, who is Chairperson of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC).  Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said on Wednesday that the two had met at a cultural event.
