CHINA-MILITARY: PLA REFORM

A circular issued by the PLA's General Political Department (GPD) and endorsed by the Chairman of the Central Military Commission Xi Jinping has directed that PLA Commanders and PLA Political Commissars switch posts . The objective is to enhance combat capability and eliminate the possibility of emergence of factions.
The move is limited to officers within the same unit and does not entail cross MR or cross formation switching of posts. A similar move was initiated in 2014 at the Company and Battalion levels.
