The China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation announced that it will launch 40 spacecraft into orbit through 20 launches in 2015. Zhao Xiaojun, Director of the Space Department of the China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, said that most of them will be communications or geosynchronous satellites operating at the height of 36,000 miles and some will be remote sensing satellites. There will also be some navigation satellites for the Beidou system. He added that many cutting-edge technologies will be tested for the first time.
