Yanhuang Chunqiu, a publication which is already under pressure and has been a voice for liberals in the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), was directed by the Chinese National Academy of Arts, which is its supervisory body, to defer its annual dinner planned for March 18, 2015. Almost 240 supporters, many of them Party veterans, had been invited to the event.
