CHINA-NORTH KOREA: NEW ENVOY
Xinhua announced on March 17, 2015, that 59-year old Li Jinjun, who was Deputy Director of the CCP CC's International Department, has been appointed China's Ambassador to North Korea. Li Jinjun studied German at what later became the Shanghai International Studies University and went to Europe. He returned to China in 1975 and joined the International Department. In 1984, he served as a translator for Deng Xiaoping.
