The move followed a decision in December 2014 by the CCP CC Political Bureau to establish CDIC resident disciplinary offices in more central CCP and government organs.

The CDIC has already established offices in more than 50 central government organs and plans to set up offices in all central Party and government organs, which in all number almost 140.
