CHINA-US: CHINA ACCUSES WASHINGTON OF USING "GANGSTER LOGIC"

China on August 9, accused Washington of applying “gangster logic” after US State Department spokeswoman Morgan Ortagus described Beijing as a “thuggish regime”. Her remarks were prompted by Hong Kong’s Ta Kung Pao publishing personal details of Julie Eadeh, chief of the US consulate’s political unit, including her children’s names, and a photograph of Eadeh meeting pro-democracy activists including Joshua Wong Chi-fung. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs also lodged a formal complaint with the US Consulate General – urging US diplomatic personnel not to engage with “anti-China forces.”
