TAIWAN-HELICOPTER CRASH: TAIWANESE MILITARY OFFICERS KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH ON JANUARY 2
A UH-60M Black Hawk helicopter purchased by Taiwan from the United States in 2010 and carrying 13 people crashed in a mountainous region in the northern part of the island on January 2 morning. Among the dead were two Major Generals – Political Warfare Bureau Deputy Director Yu Chin-wen and Hung Hung-chin, from the Defence Ministry’s office of the Deputy Chief of the General Staff for Intelligence – as well as a Lieutenant Colonel, one Captain, two Senior Master Sergeants, and one Major. There were 5 survivors. |
