Ji Tao, Editor-in-Chief and President China Daily USA, on December 7, tweeted that "It's time to stop targeting Chinese students in the US. The damage has been done. In the first nine months this year, student visa visits from China to the US fell by almost 70%, as compared with that of 2019."
