The state-run CCTV (February 20) telecast a report on the Party History Study and Education Mobilization Conference held in Beijing on February 20, where Chinese President Xi Jinping gave an "important" speech. Xi Jinping emphasised that the development of party history learning and education in the whole party is a new starting point for the party Central Committee based on the party’s century-old history, coordinating the overall strategy of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation and major changes in the world unseen in a century, and mobilizing the whole party and the country.  He exhorted that "all comrades in the party should learn history clearly, learn history to increase credit, learn history to respect morality, learn history, learn party history, understand ideas, do practical things, start a new situation, and strive to start a new journey of building a socialist modern country in an all-round manner, with excellence Achievements welcome the centenary of the founding of the party."

Li Keqiang, Li Zhanshu, Wang Yang, Zhao Leji and Han Zheng, members of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, and Wang Qishan, Vice Chairman of the State, attended the meeting. Wang Huning, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, chaired the meeting.

Xinhua (February 21) said that "As the Communist Party of China is about to usher in its centennial birthday, the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core requires the development of party history learning and education throughout the party, declaring the firm determination of the Communists in the new era to keep their original aspirations in mind and keep their mission in mind." Asserting that "from 1921 to 2021, a hundred years of wind and rain, struggle to create brilliance" the centuries-old party "will continue the past and open the future." It said "We must carefully review the road we have traveled, not forget the way we came, and continue to walk the way forward" and that "The aggressive attitude of pushing forward the cause of socialism has injected strong impetus into the great new project of party building." It referred also to Xi Jinping's letter to the veteran soldiers of the Shanghai New Fourth Army History Research Association. The essence of the Xinhua article was reiterated by the PLA Daily on February 20. CCTV (February 20) publicised that the book "On the History of the Chinese Communist Party" edited by Comrade Xi Jinping edited by the CCP CC's Institute of Party History and Documentation was recently published by the Central Literature Publishing House and distributed nationwide. This monographic collection contains 40 important manuscripts on the history of the Chinese Communist Party by Comrade Xi Jinping. Some of the manuscripts were published for the first time.
