The 2021 China Development Forum started online and on-site in Beijing on March 20. China Daily (March 23) said those attending included officials, executives and scholars in business, science and other circles and they discussed topics around the 14th Five-Year Plan, China-US relations, global public health, technological innovation and green transformation. It claimed the event with the theme of "China on a New Journey of Modernization" attracted more than 130 overseas delegates from high-ranking officials to top executives of international corporations. Chinese Vice Premier Han Zheng spoke at the event attended also by Yi Huiman, Chairman of the China Securities Regulatory Commission, He Lifeng, head of the National Development and Reform Commission, Yi Gang, Governor of the People's Bank of China, Carrie Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor, Hong Kong Chief Executive, former US Secretary of State Henry Kissinger, Anne Richards, CEO of Fidelity International, Mike Henry, BHP CEO and others.
