CHINA-SOUTH EAST ASIA: CHINA TO RECEIVE SOUTH EAST ASIAN VISITORS THIS MONTH

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Hua Chunying said at a press conference in Beijing on March 30, that the foreign ministers of Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and the Philippines had been invited to visit China from March 31 to April 2. She described the meetings as a sign of “the profound friendship and growing affinity” between China and its neighbours in Southeast Asia. The meeting between Singapore Foreign Minister Vivian Balakrishnan and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi was scheduled to take place in Fujian province on March 30-31.
