CHINA-SRI LANKA: SRI LANKA CONGRATULATES CCP ON 100TH ANNIVERSARY

The People's Daily (April 4) publicised that congratulatory messages had been received from foreign governments on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. It said during telephone conversations with Chinese leaders recently the foreign leaders "praised the centuries-old struggle of the Communist Party of China and hoped to learn from China's experience". It said "The universal praise from the international community fully demonstrates that the "ruling code" of the Communist Party of China has provided important enlightenment to the world" It highlighted that "Sri Lanka hopes to learn from the experience of the Communist Party of China in governance, especially to strengthen exchanges and cooperation on poverty alleviation and rural revitalization strategies."
