CHINA-SECURITY: CICIR SETS UP RESEARCH CENTRE FOR OVERALL NATIONAL SECURITY CONCEPT

The Research Center for Overall National Security Concept was established in Beijing on April 14. Its Secretariat is located at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR), and a special organization is set up to conduct systematic research on the overall national security concept, which will play a key role in leading and demonstrating the study and implementation of the overall national security concept. The first batch of the research centre's "Overall National Security Concept Series" (the first series) was to be published by the Current Affairs Press on April 15. The series is edited by Yuan Peng, Secretary-General of the Research Center for Overall National Security Concept and Dean of China Institute of Contemporary International Relations. It is divided into "History and National Security", "Geography and National Security", "Culture and National Security", "Rise of Great Powers and National Security". There are six volumes of "Hundred Years of Change and National Security" and "Biosafety and National Security".
