Politico (April 11) reported that succumbing to Chinese warnings the Canadian government has told the Halifax International Security Forum (HSF), organisers of one of the world’s most prestigious defense gatherings, that if they go ahead with plans to present its 'John McCain Prize for Leadership in Public Service' to Taiwan President Tsai Ing-wen, the Canadian government would withdraw support — and funding — from HFX.
