Wang Chen, Politburo member, Vice Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee and Chairman of the Chinese Law Society, wrote a very lengthy article in the People's Daily on April 20 which was published under the caption 'Xi Jinping’s thought on the rule of law is a new development and leap in the sinicization of Marxist theory of rule of law'. Wang Chen observed, inter alia, that "Xi Jinping’s rule of law thought covers reform, development and stability, internal affairs, foreign affairs and national defense, governance of the party, country, and military." He said, "The establishment of Xi Jinping's rule of law thought has achieved a new leap in the sinicization of Marxist theory of rule of law". wang Chen asserted that China should "Actively participate in the formulation of international rules and be good at making more Chinese voices and injecting more Chinese elements into the formulation of international rules; actively participating in law enforcement and security international cooperation and judicial assistance to jointly combat violent terrorist forces, ethnic separatist forces, religious extremist forces and drug trafficking Smuggling, transnational organized crime and other criminal activities; strengthen international cooperation in anti-corruption, and increase the efforts of overseas pursuit of stolen goods, repatriation and extradition".
