Chinese President Xi Jinping chaired a Politburo meeting on April 30. Some of the key areas discussed at the meeting were: further regulation of internet platform firms, continued crackdown on property speculation, more local responsibility for reducing financial risks and protection for the nation’s limited arable land. Promoting consumer spending to boost the economy and 'dual circulation' were also discussed.
