CHINA-INDIA: CHINESE SITE SAYS INDIA HAS DEPLOYED ITS FOURTH BRAHMOS MISSILE REGIMENT IN ARUNACHAL PRADESH

A post (June 14) on a popular Chinese social media site (June 14) reported that the BrahMos missile, which has Russian technology and is claimed to be fast, multi-ballistic, anti-jamming, and difficult to be intercepted, has been deployed with the fourth "BrahMos" missile regiment in the so-called "Arunachal Pradesh which is the southern part of Tibet". It said the BrahMos has the capability of supersonic missiles. It cited reports that India conducted at least 7 tests of various versions of the BrahMos missiles between September and December last year, all of which were successful. The post added that
for the special terrain of the China-India border, this missile can replace the warhead for guidance and strike targets hidden behind the ridgeline. India completed the vertical dive test of the missile after crossing the ridge in 2019. To put it bluntly it can change the trajectory of the ballistic missile and hit the target on the reverse slope of the mountain.
