CHINA-PLA: PLA COLLEGES AND ACADEMIES RECRUIT 13,000 HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATES THIS YEAR
The People's Daily (June 24) reported that at the regular press conference of the Ministry of National Defense on June 24, its spokesman Ren Guoqiang disclosed that according to this year’s military college enrollment plan, a total of 27 colleges and universities recruited more than 13,000 ordinary high school graduates. Of these 1 college was directly under the CMC, 10 army, 5 navy, 4 airforce, and 1 rocket army, 2 strategic support forces, 4 armed police forces. He mentioned there have been new changes in the criteria for recruiting general high school graduates and added that starting this year, all military colleges and universities (including armed police) would have to meet the minimum admission criteria for undergraduate admissions in various provinces.
