CHINA-PLA: FOURTH TYPE 052 DESTROYER JOINS SERVICE IN PLA NAVY

The Kaifeng, China's fourth Type 052 Destroyer with Hull No: 124, was reported on July 2 to have been commissioned into service in the PLA Navy. The Global Times said (July 4) that immediately after the grand celebration ceremony of the CCP's 100th anniversary held in Beijing on July 1, troops of the PLA Navy North Sea Fleet began to study the Party 'spirit' from the event and vowed to strengthen the military and win battles by training and practicing for combat. As a part of the efforts, the warship Kaifeng set sail and held a combat scenario exercise in an undisclosed body of water.
