CHINA-INTERNAL: 'EDUCATION' CAMPAIGN FOR PARTY CADRES

Xinhua disclosed on April 19, 2015, that the CCP CC General Office is set to soon launch a campaign to improve the conduct of officials at county-level and above. It will focus on the "three strictness" and three solidness". The campaign will especially address abuses of power and disloyalty to the Party. Central authorities including the CCP CC Political Bureau, Party committees in the top legislature, the State Council and top advisory body are expected to take the lead in the campaign. (Comment: The "Three strictness" are being strict in: (i) cultivating one's morals; (ii) using power; and (iii) disciplining oneself. The "three solidness" are: (i) solid planning; (ii) solid working; and (iii) solid behaving.)
