CHINA-LEADERSHIP: LI XIAOLIN

The Chinese dissident-run news outlet Boxun, or Bowen News, reported on 27 July 2015 that former Chinese Premier Li Peng's eldest daughter Li Xiaolin has taken Buddhist monastic vows and her new religious name is “Gedan Yangjin Cuomu.” It quoted "famous" Tibetan Buddhist monk Buzhachi Rinpoche as disclosing on 24 July 2015 on social media that Li Xiaolin, went to a monastery in Inner Mongolia to visit the Rinpoche and together they prayed to the Buddhist patriarchs. She prayed that her critically ill father Li Peng’s life be extended. Bowen News earlier reported that Li Peng is already critically ill in hospital, and has twice come close to death.
