CHINA-INTERNAL: FIRST SESSION OF 13TH NPC
The constitutional changes including removal of the term limits on the posts of China's President and Vice President were passed by China's National People's Congress on March 11, 2018. It was widely assumed that the amendments would pass and only two delegates voted against the change and three abstained, out of 2,964 votes.
(Comment: China has imposed a two-term limit on its president since the 1990s.)
