CHINA-INTERNAL: STRIKE IN SHANGHAI

In late March 2018, 3000 Sanitary workers went on a six-day strike in Shanghai's Changning District caused by a $110 pay cut. Police and public security were called to disperse the strikers. Shanghai's sanitary workers are paid the minimum salary of 2,300 Yuan (US$ 266/-) per month.
