CHINA-AFGHANISTAN

 New Afghan President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai left Kabul on October 27, 2014 for a four-day official visit to China. He is accompanied by his National Security Adviser, Defence Minister and Financial Adviser. During his stay in China, Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai will meet Chinese President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Keqiang, and the Chairman of the NPC Standing Committee Zhang Dejiang. A number of cooperation agreements are expected to be inked. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying also announced on October 24, 2014 that the Fourth Foreign Ministerial Conference of the Istanbul Process on Afghanistan will be held in Beijing on October 31.Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and his Afghan counterpart Zarar Ahmad Osmani will co-chair the meeting.
