All Afghan newspapers on October 29, 2014, prominently front-paged the visit of President Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai to China, describing it as "significant" and as of "great importance in boosting relations between the two neighboring nations". The newspaper Etilaatroz observed that President Ghani Ahmadzai after meeting the Chinese leaders inked four cooperation agreements and "also expressed wish for long-term partnership". the Daily Afghanistan said that China as a "regional and world power" can play a significant role in helping achieve durable peace and stability. It added that "since China has good relations with both Pakistan and Afghanistan, China can encourage Islamabad to take essential steps for containing terrorism and extremism in the region." Another newspaper, 'Sadai Shahrwand' focused on Sino- Afghan relations.
