CHINA-PLAAF RECRUITMENT

The People's Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) held a news conference on the pilot cadet enrollment work in Zhuhai in Guangdong province on November 14, 2014. It was revealed that in 2015, the PLAAF will recruit mainly recruit two types of pilot cadets i.e. those who will graduate from high school in 2015 and those who graduate from military colleges and academies in 2015. The high-school-graduate applicants should be male and 19 years old or below (born after September 1, 1995) with formal household registrations in the areas from which the PLAAF will recruit pilot cadets. The final selection is scheduled from April to the early July in 2015 Some new changes are envisioned in the pilot cadet recruitment work in 2015. The test method for psychological selection used by the PLAAF Pilot Cadet Enrollment Bureau is being modified. Simulated flight testing has been added.
Fang Chuanhong, Deputy Director of the PLAAF Pilot Cadet Enrollment Bureau, said the PLAAF has no plans to recruit female pilot cadets in 2015. They last recruited a batch (the 10th) of female pilots in 2013.,
