The Global Times on November 16, 2014, reported that Liang Shulin, a former Deputy Secretary General of the Hebei provincial committee, was arrested on November 15, 2014.  Hebei Procuratorate said on Saturday. Liang Shulin was also Deputy Head of the Legal Affairs Committee of the Hebei Province legislature. The Hebei Procuratorate also announced that Liu Xueku, former Director of the provincial Development and Reform Commission and Deputy Head of the Finance and Economic Affairs Committee of the Hebei provincial legislature had been indicted on charges of taking bribes, possession of huge amount of undocumented assets and insider trading.
