China-Internal: CCP Composition

The CPC News released several graphs in late June 2018 reviewing the demographic changes and other information on the development of the CCP in 2017. The graphs showed that, by the end of 2017, the total number of Party members had reached 89.564 million. 26.7% of them are female, 7.3% are from minority groups, and 48.3% have obtained a college education or above. 28% of members are 61 years old or above while 15% are aged 30 or below. 28% of members worked in the agricultural, animal product, and fishery industries. Another 20% had retired. The number of local Party committees reached 3,208, and 303,000 Party organizations had been established within social organisations.
