CHINA-INDIA: XI JINPING'S VISIT
The Shanghai-based Gauncha business news service on September 11, 2014, disclosed the itinerary of Xi Jinping's visit to India. It said Xi Jinping will visit "Modi's hometown" and deliver a speech in New Delhi.
Stating that the Chinese President Xi Jinping will visit three countries in South Asia between September 12 -19 (Maldives, Sri Lanka, India)it said "Prime Minister Modi on his birthday will receive the Chinese President, Xi Jinping, on his first visit in his hometown" It added that the Indian media had on September 10, disclosed that special arrangements had been made by the Indian side for the visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping. The Chinese Foreign Ministry also briefed the Chinese and foreign media in Beijing on september 11, on President Xi Jinping's state visit to the three countries in South Asia .The Ministry of Foreign Affairs revealed the duration of Xi Jinping's visit to India, and that Xi Jinping will meet President Pranab Mukherjee and hold talks with Prime Minister Modi. He will also meet other Indian leaders. There will be in-depth exchange of views on bilateral relations and international and regional issues of common concern. Xi Jinping will also deliver a speech on Sino-Indian relations and China's policy towards South Asia in New Delhi, and will carry out an extensive contact with people of all circles in India.
