CHINA-PLA: PLA'S HIGHEST POST ON SINO-INDIAN BORDER IS AT GAMBA OPPOSITE NORTH SIKKIM

Global Times (January 4) said the state-owned CCTV had revealed (January 3) that China's military post at the highest altitude in the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR) was the Gamba Post north of Sikkim at an altitude of 5,592 meters. It said the People's Liberation Army (PLA) Tibet Military Command established the post in Xigaze in early 2020 and that a border defence company is based in Gamba.
