Vice President
Avnish Sharma is Vice President of the Centre for China Analysis and Strategy. He is a retired civil servant with around 34 years of experience in handling various assignments at middle and senior levels of policy planning and decision making in the Government of India. He has specialized in the field of foreign affairs and national security issues, with a focus on China and India’s neighbourhood. During his distinguished career in the government, he has served for over a decade in India’s Missions abroad.
Avnish Sharma holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science from St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University and a Master’s degree in International Politics from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He also holds a Diploma in Chinese language.
