Rinchen Dhondup

Rinchen Dhondup, is a Tibetan born in Tibet and brought up in India. He completed his schooling at Tibetan Children’s Village. He holds a Master’s degree in International Studies from Christ University and a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Dalai Lama Institute for Higher Education.
His academic and research work examines China’s policies in Tibet, regional security dynamics, and the lived experiences of displaced Tibetan communities. He presented a paper titled “The Role of Statelessness under International Law: A Case Study of Tibetan Refugees” at the All Tibetan College Student Conference, which was later included in a commemorative publication dedicated to the 90th birthday of 14th Dalai Lama. His Master’s research paper, “From Colonised China to Coloniser,” explores historical and political transformations within modern China and Tibet.
He is a former member of Students for a Free Tibet and the Regional Tibetan Youth Congress. In 2019, he served in the Indian Army’s Special Frontier Force and is also a V-Tag member under an initiative of the Central Tibetan Administration.
